Rapid Build Schools Programme

MEIC successfully pre‑qualified, and was awarded the contract for the design and construction of two schools; Maynooth ETNS and St Francis SS, with an estimated total value of €12.3 million.

The projects fell under the Department of Education’s National Rapid Build Schools Programmes 2017-2019. MEIC were one of the limited approved contractors in the supply chain to deliver the projects within the framework. The requirement for the rapid construction of this programme implies the adoption of prefabricated solutions in reinforced concrete for the entire structure, with self‑supporting walls and slabs of the hollow core type.
