The contract consisted of the installation of traffic calming measures and road pavement overlay works along the existing N74 national secondary road at Thomastown, Co. Tipperary. 

The works also included the following:

• Earthworks excavation
• Excavation of existing carriageway
• Excavation of existing footpaths
• Drainage and service ducts
• Provision of uncontrolled pedestrian crossings
• Construction of new kerbs and footpaths
• Laying of bituminous materials
• Provision of public lighting
• Provision of road markings
• Road studs & road signage
• Accommodation works.
