Dooneen Bridge is a single span structure running in a west-east direction along a local road over a tributary of the Leamlara River 5.5km north of Carrigtohill, Co. Cork. The bridge had a span of 1.24m and consisted of a 6.1m length of masonry arch and 7,2m of concrete culvert. The masonry arch section, which is on the upstream side was severely damaged in a recent flood event and had to be replaced by a reinforced concrete culvert. This was to match the existing concrete culvert which had to remain in place.
