Tender Administrator

Main Responsibilities

Graduate CAD/BIM Technician

MEIC and Glan Agua are looking to recruit a CAD/Revit Technician to work on large scale water and waste water infrastructure projects. This will be an office-based role in our Head Office in Loughrea, Co. Galway. Due to continued success in the Irish Business, the company is expanding with a number of dynamic and exciting roles.

Main Responsibilities

  • Production of 2D general arrangement drawings from 3D Revit Models & CAD 2D drawings
  • Preparation of GA co-ordination drawings in multi-discipline fields including civil, structural, mechanical and electrical
  • Ensure models / documentation is developed in line with company BIM protocols and procedures
  • Participation in drawing/ design review meetings
  • Ability to set up a Revit project from start, in addition to the ability to create families within projects

Graduate Engineer

MEIC and Glan Agua are seeking graduate engineers to join our engineering site teams throughout the country. The role will require graduate engineers to work as part of a team and also to carry out tasks individually. The majority of the work assignments will be based on-site for career progression and full understanding of the company’s works and for observation of the implementation of health and safety on-site and use of the latest technology products/equipment.

  • Assisting the Project Engineers with the Day to Day challenges on-site

Main Responsibilities

Graduate Energy Engineer

MEIC and Glan Agua are looking for a graduate energy engineer.

Main Responsibilities

  • Build, schedule and run the Annual Energy Meeting.
  • Build, schedule and run Quarterly Energy Team Meetings.
  • ISO 50001 Management System Maintenance. Also maintenance and assistance for company ISO’s accreditation process with HSQE lead. Refer to Energy Manual
  • Ownership and maintenance of the Energy SharePoint & Glan Agua shared drive folder
  • Procurement and Maintenance on annual energy provider contract.
  • Distribute ESB Outage notifications to Operations Engineers/Managers
  • Review QH (Quarter Hour) data from MRSO.ie and reduce MIC’s where applicable to avail of savings
  • Forecast future energy usage and cost of new contracts using M&I sheets
  • Management and implementation of Grid-Beyond contract
  • Implement new processes where applicable to enhance workload efficiently
  • Liaise with ESB over new connections and ensure all paperwork is correct
  • Tender write-ups where applicable.

Pre-Contract Manager

MEIC and Glan Agua have a long history of engineering and construction excellence, delivering high quality DBOM engineering and construction services throughout Ireland and the UK. We successfully deliver complex turnkey engineering projects for clients such as Irish Water, Northern Ireland Water, Thames Water, Affinity Water, HS2, Yorkshire Water and Severn Trent.

We offer clients a range of services including design, DfMA, installation, construction and commissioning. Our in-house design and offsite manufacturing teams’ work closely to develop technology-based solutions with a strong focus on innovation and value engineering. HSQE Manager

Glan Agua and MEIC are looking for an experienced HSQE Manager to join the team.

Main Responsibilities

  • Continuous promotion of Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental (HSQE) standards on projects;
  • HSQE project and documentation support including Preliminary and Construction Stage Safety and Health Plans;
  • Ensure compliance with current Environmental, Health and Safety legislation and maintain awareness of legislative changes and industry standards;
  • Obtaining and reviewing safety documentation from Clients, Suppliers and Subcontractors
  • Preparation of Tender and Pre-qualification documents for future work;
  • Carrying out Site Inspections and generating reports;
  • Liaising with Clients;
  • Assist the site team in the preparation of Method Statements, Risk Assessments and associated documentation and records;
  • Preparation and delivery of site tool box talks;
  • Daily/weekly reporting to project management staff and board members; Conduct incident/accident investigations and prepare reports for internal/external purposes;

Main Responsibilities

  • Preparation of Tender and Pre-qualification documents to secure future work
  • Carrying out detailed take off of materials and equipment
  • Compiling RFQs (Request for Quotation) and ensuring a detailed response from suppliers

Process Design Engineer

MEIC and Glan Agua are looking to recruit Process Design Engineers to work on projects located in Ireland and UK.

Main Responsibilities

  • Production of detailed process and mechanical design submissions across both the water and wastewater sectors
  • Working with design teams in the production of design and construction drawings/ documentation
  • Liaising between Mechanical & Electrical Designers and Civil & Structural Designers
  • Key responsibilities will include developing process and Hydraulic calculations, process flow diagrams (PFD), mass / energy balance, piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&ID), Motor and Equipment list (M&I), Layout and mechanical design, Hydraulic profile, process descriptions and equipment specifications
  • Completion of quality checks to ensure works are in line with design outputs and ready for commissioning works.
  • Travel to project sites to provide expertise during start-up, commissioning and/or for troubleshooting at existing plants
  • Preparation of Functional Design Specifications (FDS) / Detailed Control Philosophies.

Requirements

  • Level 8 Degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Civil or Environmental Engineering.
