MEIC - Tom O'Connor

TOM O'CONNOR: Managing Director

Tom O'Connor, has a first class honours degree in Civil Engineering and currently fulfils the role of Director and Shareholder of MEIC. Tom was a founding member of MEIC Ltd at their incorporation in 2008. He has over 20 years experience in Civil Engineering while working in Ireland, the UK and Overseas, covering many disciplines such as the Design and Build of Road and Bridge projects, Water and Waste Water Projects, Marine Works and General Building. He has a strong focus on delivering a professional service to MEIC's various clients and fostering a spirit of cooperation with our partners in the industry.

MEIC - Luis Moreira da Silva


Luis Moreira da Silva is the Irish Branch Director of Parent’s Company Mota-Engil and Board Director of MEIC Ltd. Has over 15 years of experience as Project Manager for a number of international large projects in water and wastewater, civil, road and building construction. Luis's professional qualifications include a Degree in Civil Engineering and a Master Degree in International Management. During his career, Luis’s developed good planning & organizational skills and acquired knowledge of a wide spectrum of management disciplines. Responsibilities include assisting in account development, developing targets for the Company, implementing long-term plans and generating new business from customers.

MEIC - Gerry Fahy

GERRY FAHY: Finance Director

Gerry Fahy is a founding member of MEIC Ltd and has undertaken the role of Financial Director and Shareholder since its incorporation in 2007. Gerry has been involved in the industry since 1985 after graduating with a degree in Business Studies (Accounting), he has extensive experience in the financial administration and management of Construction companies both in Ireland and the UK. He is a key member of the MEIC team ensuring the company performs its financial operations with integrity and diligence, complying with the various legal & secretarial requirements. His goal is to see MEIC Ltd grow securely and safely, earning a good reputation with its clients, workforce and suppliers.

MEIC - Aine Healy


Aine is the Quality Environmental, Health and Safety Manager with MEIC Ltd. since 2010. Aine has over 14 years’ experience in QEHS on major civil, water and wastewater infrastructure projects ranging in value up to €92million. Her role also involves the overall maintenance of the ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 Integrated Management System and in 2016, Aine oversaw the successful transition of the Management System to the new ISO Standard.

MEIC - Micheal Moore


Michael Moore has undertaken the role of Shareholder and Head Estimator since the incorporation of MEIC Ltd in 2007. Michael, a Degree Qualified Civil Engineer has been instrumental in the growth of MEIC Ltd and key to its success to date. Michael has been involved in the industry in Ireland for over 15 years, initially working on various challenging and difficult projects throughout Ireland, before moving to the estimating department as his career developed. To date, Michael has gained considerable knowledge in many aspects of Building and Civil Engineering including road and bridges, pipelines, water treatment works, including design and build, along with experience on various forms of contract which are prevalent in the industry. He is committed to the further development of MEIC and sees the delivery of a quality service to its client base as a crucial element to the future success.

Glan Agua - Andrew Young


Andrew has over 6 years’ experience in commercial environmental engineering and managerial work for water/wastewater infrastructures. Andrew has served as a Project Manager with Glan Agua Ltd. since 2009 and has acted as same on large-scale projects such as Galway GWS DBO Bundle No. 2, Roscommon GWS DBO, Ballyconnell WSS, Knockataggart WTP upgrade, Four Roscommon RWSS and the Burncourt & Fethard WSS ensuring all projects were completed to a high standard, on time and within budget. Andrew has experience in all aspects of water and wastewater treatment including process design, M&E design, electrical, controls, automation and instrumentation and coordinates with civil design and construction engineers ensuring all aspects of the project progress as per programme.

MEIC - Andrew Driver


Andrew is a Civil Engineer and has over 14 years’ experience in construction and civil engineering projects. He is experienced in estimating, procurement and project management. Since joining MEIC Ltd. in 2008, Andrew has worked as Project Manager & Senior Engineer on bridges, major structures, and large water infrastructure projects before progressing to Senior Contracts Manager. He is also an experienced Civil & Structural designer for water and wastewater service infrastructure.

MEIC - Ronan Butler


Ronan is a Chartered Civil Engineer with over 15 years’ experience in construction and civil engineering projects. He is experienced in estimating, procurement and project management. Since joining MEIC Ltd in 2010, Ronan has worked as Project Manager & Senior Engineer on bridges, roads, major structures and large water infrastructure projects before progressing to Contracts Manager. Ronan also worked as a Senior Resident Engineer on the Leitrim Towns and Villages Sewerage Scheme Contract.

MEIC - John Connolly


John has an honours degree in Civil Engineering. He has over 15 years’ experience on Civil Engineering Projects in both Ireland and the UK working with Tier one contractors on various size projects. John has extensive experience in design and build infrastructure project delivery including; water and wastewater infrastructure, motorway construction, bridges, tunnels, structural refurbishment, rail and marine works. Since joining MEIC Ltd in 2016 in the role of contracts manager, John has worked delivering design and build water and wastewater infrastructure projects.

MEIC - Thomas Campbell


Thomas is a Chartered Civil Engineer with over 11 Years’ experience in the Civil Engineering. Thomas has been a member of Glan Agua and MEIC team since its incorporation in 2008. Thomas has held the role of Project Engineer, Project Manager, Senior Project Manager before progressing to the role of Senior Estimating and Design Manager for the Water and Waste Water Sector. Thomas has a natural Commercial and Design Acumen. Thomas has extensive experience in successfully designing, procuring and delivering of projects across the Water and Waste Water Sector.
